Discover the art of storytelling into comics with COMINK

In order to train and inspire participating contestants, COMINK Comic Contest 2022 organized the first Workshop with the topic “The art of developing comic scripts” in Ho Chi Minh City on February 11th. The event took place with nearly 100 contestants, partly giving young people specialized and practical knowledge as well as having their questions answered directly from the speakers.

The Workshop was organized exclusively for talented contestants who made it to round 2 of the contest with the participation of two industry experts, namely Director Charlie Nguyen – founder of COMINK Studio and Master Nguyen. Thi Bao Khanh – Lecturer in Graphic Design at Hoa Sen University. Here, the speakers emphasized the important role of scripting that will determine the final quality of a comic work. The content of the script will be the mark throughout the work as well as shape the structure. The structure of the story, including character arcs, dialogue, and setting. A good script will help authors easily sketch out the image for the work as well as ensure the story unfolds smoothly and reasonably.
